Our trip to 'Live Green'

Greener Kitchens recently visited the 'Live Green' Expo on a beautiful sunny Sydney day in Victoria Park, Camperdown. The expo was a wonderful celebration of all things 'green', showcasing the efforts being made by councils, companies and community groups to do things in a more sustainable way.

We took time to attend a couple of seminars covering 'green' issues that were offered as a part of the programme of events, which we found to be a worthwhile source of valuable information.

We also had an opportunity to tour the City of Sydney commissioned 'Green House', which was a heartening display of 'green' renovation tips and examples.

Greener Kitchens is very proud to be chosen as the supplier of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry for the next stage of "The Green", Australia's first eco living community for seniors being built by Sala Homes Australia.

Greener Kitchens worked closely with Sala to design a kitchen to compliment their environmentally responsible home for seniors the "Smart House 2". The kitchen has a host of universal design features to ensure it is a very comfortable space for the senior residents to use as well as being constructed of materials that have a reduced environmental impact. Our kitchens also integrate with the energy and water saving features Sala design into the houses, to ensure they tread lightly on the earth.

Looking forward to Greenfest...

We are looking forward to our involvement in 'Greenfest' a green festival being held in Brisbane at South Bank Parklands over three days from the 10 -12 October.

Greener Kitchens will be exhibiting at Greenfest and will be constructing a Greener Kitchen for display at the event to showcase the environmentally sensitive design strategies and materials we use.
